Roofing Contractor in Addison, TX

Addison packs a lot into about four and a half square miles: an airport, more than a hundred restaurants, office towers along the Dallas North Tollway, and quiet residential pockets tucked between them. That mix means we work on both home roofs and flat commercial roofs here. Different Roofing serves all of Addison from our base in The Colony.

Les Lacs

Les Lacs is one of Addison's best-known neighborhoods, named for the ponds and fountains of Les Lacs Linear Park that runs through it. Most homes were built in the 1980s and 1990s on modest lots, with traditional brick exteriors and three or four bedrooms. A roof from that era has usually been replaced at least once, and on some homes the original decking has never been replaced. When we inspect a Les Lacs roof, we check for soft decking, worn pipe boots, aging attic ventilation, and old flashing at chimneys and where the roof meets a second-story wall.

Lots here are close together and many have mature trees, so getting materials in and debris out takes planning. We protect landscaping and neighboring yards, keep the driveway clear, and sweep the yard and street with magnets before we leave. Most roof replacements are done in one day.

Commercial Roofs in Addison

Addison's restaurants, shops, and offices sit under a different kind of roof: flat and low-slope systems such as TPO, modified bitumen, and coated roofs. Those roofs fail in different ways. Ponding water, open seams, rooftop units that were set without proper flashing, and hail that fractures the membrane are the usual causes of leaks, and wind damage often shows up as lifted edge metal or loose flashing around rooftop units. Our commercial roofing team has completed a restaurant roof and a 36,000-square-foot Class 4 church roof, and we can inspect your building after a storm with minimal disruption to your business.

Recent Storms in Addison

  • May 28, 2024: a severe early-morning windstorm tore the roof from a commercial building in Addison. Dallas Love Field measured a 75 mph gust the same morning.
  • March 25, 2025: quarter-size hail fell for about four minutes near the George Bush Turnpike and Coit Road in Richardson, about four miles from Addison.
  • April 27, 2026: an evening storm dropped hail from quarter size to golf-ball size across Richardson and north Dallas.
  • May 23, 2026: ping-pong-ball-size hail, about 1.5 inches, was reported in Carrollton, roughly three and a half miles from Addison.

A free storm damage inspection documents hail and wind damage on homes and commercial buildings with photos. If you file a claim, we meet your adjuster on site and walk the roof together.

Choosing a Tougher Roof

For homes, Class 4 impact-resistant shingles are built to resist much larger hail than standard shingles, and some insurers offer a discount for them. Most replacements are done in one day, and every roof we install carries a lifetime workmanship warranty.

Clay Soil and Foundations

Addison sits on the expansive Blackland Prairie clay that covers most of Dallas County. It swells when it soaks up rain and shrinks during long, hot summers, and 30 or 40 years of that movement shows up in older homes. Watch for stair-step cracks in brick, cracks at the corners of windows and doors, doors that stick, and floors that slope or feel uneven. Our foundation repair team can evaluate the slab, and properly sized gutters keep roof runoff away from the foundation.
